Lancey Foux

Lancey Foux is a UK-Nigerian artist from East London and a supporter of the Meji Meji brand as we spotted him wearing our crochet hat and lustfully staring at a potential purchase at our stand at the Homecoming 2022 that was held at Alara in Lagos, Nigeria.

Lancey started out his music career in 2015 by improvising beats to YouTube videos in his bedroom. He released his first studio album, Pink, that same year. He released the local breakout hit "About It" two weeks later. Debuting his second studio album TEEN SKUM in late 2015 following a few concerts (including the legendary SBTV cookout) and the release of many solo and group tracks on SoundCloud. He continued to release songs on SoundCloud for two years before collaborating on the studio album First Day at Nursery with English producer Nyge.

By the beginning of 2018, Lancey had expanded his fan base and developed a more recognizable following, working with Grime icon Skepta also joining the SK LEVEL Europe tour. He gained additional recognition after performing at the US hip-hop festival Rolling Loud in 2019.

He is no stranger to the fashion world as he has modeled for a variety of brands, including Trapstar, MISBHV, Jordan and A-COLD-WALL, and Naomi Campbell's 2019 Fashion for Relief Gala. In 2019, he published his most well-liked album, Friend or Foux, selling out his first headline performance at the O2 Islington two days later. He is constantly serving looks, posing as the front cover of Wonderland's Autumn 2020 edition and serving as the lead model for Matthew M. Williams' Givenchy Spring/Summer 2021 lookbook.

Months after releasing his biggest hit to date, Friend or Foux, he began the exciting year of 2020 by working with producer TM88 and local Juvie on "K-POP." Since, Lancey has gone off to release "TIME FOR WAR!I" and "RELAX!I," two tracks that spoke to the Black Lives Matter movement.

To further push his musical accomplishments, he and Joony are also currently on the “LIFE IN HELL Tour,” which kicked off on Sept. 10 at Rolling Loud Toronto.

We can’t wait to see more of Lancey Foux demonstrating his poetic abilities and lifestyle.
