Meet Obongjayar, the Nigerian Artiste who Dreams of Doors

On October 16th, we’re standing in the crowd at BOJ’s UK concert watching the electrifying Obongjayar rock the stage in our ‘Na you cause am’ tee. The show hosted Ajebutter 22, Enny, Wizkid, Show Dem Camp, Cruel Santino, Teezee, Tomi Agape and other artistes taking their turns on stage and supporting their industry colleagues. In the midst of the OGs, we are identifying with our current fave, Obongjayar. 

The Nigerian-born, London based RnB/Soul singer has been an asset to the music scene since he chose a solo path in 2017 releasing his four-song EP Bassey. Five years later releasing his debut album Some Nights I Dream of Doors in 2022 which has gone to be widely received by his listeners all over the world. His Sold out UK concerts have been enough proof.

Asides his ability to fuse electronic music, thought-triggering songwriting and futuristic hip-hop sound to create his unique sound, Obongjayar stands out in the crowd with his alte/streetwear fashion style, now introducing his own merchandise, OB CORP. It is difficult to describe his style as he leaves the on-watchers wondering what outfit he would be spotted in next. Body-hug tank tops on loose denim today, a colorful print two-piece with fine accessories tomorrow, but one thing we know for sure, is that he will rock it with a swag that only Obongjayar possesses. Our eyes are peeled to wherever he is as we are excited to see more music, performances and fashion from multi-faceted artists
